BNP plans Assembly vote bid.


THE extreme right-wing British National Party

The British National Party (BNP) is a white nationalist political party in the United Kingdom.
 says it will now contest the Welsh Assembly election on May 1st.

The party says it will be fielding a candidate in South Wales and also possibly in North Wales.

Party leader Nick Griffin has confirmed that at least two BNP candidates would stand in Wrexham, with several others in Conwy and Denbighshire.

Mr Griffin, who runs the party from his home near Welshpool, said recruitment drives had increased numbers.
