Leader Nick Griffin and his cronies could be fined or jailed if they refuse to comply.

It is the first time the Equalities and Human Rights Commission has threatened to take a political party to court.

Chief John Wadham has written to Griffin warning his party may be breaking race laws. He claimed the English were such a group, and added: "We are not discriminating on the grounds of colour."
