BNP Paribas Appoints Steve Parsons to Its New York Securitization Team.

NEW YORK -- BNP Paribas is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Parsons as Head of Analytics in its New York Securitization team. He reports to David Mandel, Head of Securitization, North America.

Steve joins the firm from Radian Guaranty Inc. where he was Head of Mortgage Insurance Transactions since 2003. Prior to that, he spent fourteen years at Bank of America Securities, most recently as a Managing Director in Global Structured Finance and Head of Analytics. In this capacity he was responsible for financial engineering and structuring of ABS, MBS and CMBS. Other roles at Bank of America included three years as a Director in Capital Markets mortgage finance analytics and two years in Structured Finance analytics.

Commenting on the appointment, Michael Donahue, Global Head of Securitization said, "This is consistent with our plans to continue building BNP Paribas' ABS activities in the U.S. We will continue to aggressively hire in order to enhance all aspects of our ABS and conduit business, including origination, structuring, trading and distribution. Appointing someone with Steve's knowledge, experience and reputation is a tremendous plus in our ABS aspirations."

BNP Paribas' U.S. ABS activities to date have focused on (credit card, auto, equipment lease and home equity) term transactions as well as its $10 billion Asset-Backed Commercial Paper vehicle, STARBIRD.
