) division. He is based in New York and reports to Marc Fontaine, Managing Director and Co-Head of Commodity-Indexed Transactions.

Evan joins the firm from XL Capital in New York where he worked since 2002. Prior to that, he worked at both Merrill Lynch Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. (NYSE: MER TYO: 8675 ), through its subsidiaries and affiliates, provides capital markets services, investment banking and advisory services, wealth management, asset management, insurance, banking and related products and services on a global basis.  and Phibro Energy in various commodity derivatives and structured finance positions.

Commenting on the appointment, Marc Fontaine said, "Evan joins to further the development and origination of new structured energy derivatives business integrating financing and risk management products for the bank's clients in the Americas. We look forward to continued success in this business."

The Commodity Derivatives team at BNP Paribas employs 120 professionals based in New York, London and Singapore, and provides global commodity price risk management services and structured derivative transactions. It is under the responsibility of Jean-Marc Bonnefous, Managing Director and Global Head of Commodity Derivatives.
