BNP Paribas Announces Two New Emerging Markets Fixed Income Hires.

NEW YORK & LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 30, 2001

BNP Paribas is pleased to announce the hires of Ricardo Amorim and Ines de Tremiolles to its Emerging Markets Fixed Income team.

Ricardo has just started as a senior emerging markets economist, based in New York, reporting to Rafael de la Fuente, Senior Latin American Economist. He joins from Fleet Bank of Boston where he spent the last 20 months as a senior economist in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Prior to that he had been the Chief Economist at Itau Bankers Trust Asset Management in Sao Paulo. Ricardo graduated from the University of Sao Paulo in 1992, with a B.Sc. in Economics, and from ESSEC in Paris with a (diploma) in Finance and International Business.

Ines also joined recently as a senior emerging markets salesperson, based in London, reporting to Piotr Piecha, Head of Emerging Market Sales Europe. She joins from Lehman Brothers where she spent five years in its Emerging Markets Fixed Income Institutional Sales department, originally as an Associate in New York and, in the last two years, as a Director in London. Prior to that she had worked for two years for Citibank in Madrid. Ines graduated Summa Cum Laude from Boston University in 1990 and obtained her MBA (Dean's List) from Columbia Business School in 1994.
