BMW TEST DRIVES TO BENEFIT BREAST CANCER RESEARCH.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the dealership at 24030 Creekside Road invites residents to test drive a specially marked BMW, part of a fleet provided to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. For every mile test-driven, BMW will donate $1 to the Komen Foundation.

The auto company already has raised $2 million for the foundation, with a goal of raising $1 million more this year. Participants also are invited to join in the construction of ``The Banners of Support,'' filled with statements and sentiments to raise awareness in the battle against breast cancer.

Drivers are asked to bring along photographs, pressed flowers and other tokens to add to the banner.

Those who donate a minimum of $5 can submit a panel to the banner. Dealerships across the country will join their banners into a collage collage (kəläzh`, kō–) [Fr.,=pasting], technique in art consisting of cutting and pasting natural or manufactured materials to a painted or unpainted surface—hence, a work of art in this medium. .

The Komen Foundation was established in 1982 by Nancy Brinker Ambassador Nancy Goodman Brinker (born December 6, 1946, in Peoria, Illinois) is the founder of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, an organization named after her only sister, Susan, who died from breast cancer in 1980 at age 36.  to honor As a verb, to accept a bill of exchange, or to pay a note, check, or accepted bill, at maturity. To pay or to accept and pay, or, where a credit so engages, to purchase or discount a draft complying with the terms of the draft.  the memory of her sister, Susan G. Komen, who died of breast cancer at age 36. The foundation is a national organization dedicated to advancing research, education, screening and treatment.
