BMW RELEASES FIRST OFFICIAL VIDEO IMAGES OF ROADSTER Satellite Debut for James Bond's New Car

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J., June 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The first official video images of the all-new BMW Roadster will be available via satellite today between 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. EDT. The BMW Roadster will go on sale in early 1996 and will only be built in BMW's new manufacturing facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

The BMW Roadster will serve as the new car of James Bond 007 in the upcoming MGM/UA film "Goldeneye," scheduled for release in the fall of this year. The Roadster will share styling characteristics with legendary BMW open two-seat sports cars, including the legendary 507 and the avant garde Z1. The car will be powered by a 1.8 liter, four-cylinder engine developing 140 horsepower. The public debut for the Roadster will be the Detroit International Auto Show in January, 1996.
