Debut Conference to Focus on Secure Business-to-Business e-Commerce

and the Streamlining of the Automotive Supply Chain

The mission of the conference, dubbed "E-connecting the International Automotive Industry," is to investigate the impact of secure electronic commerce applications on the industry's business process. The debut conference will be held November 8-9, 1999 at the Hilton Hotel in Frankfurt, Germany.

-- Session 4, "Car industry exchanges throughout the world" includes case studies on the first industry network, the U.S. Automotive Network eXchange (ANX), RAPIDES - the French pilot exchange network, and others.

-- Session 5, "Using IT applications across the exchange and their incorporation into corporate networks" will include case studies from the perspective of the automobile manufacturers.

-- And Session 6, "The suppliers, large, medium and small scale - linking to network exchanges, communications with OEMs and the supply processes" will highlight the view form the supply side.
