GOLD announced today commencement of an important fill-in drilling program at its Comstock project in Nevada. The three month program consists of 70 holes totaling 14,000 feet. The target is an area of known mineralization Mineralization The process by which the body uses minerals to build bone structure. Mentioned in: Rickets mineralization, n the bioprecipitation of an inorganic substance. between two ore blocks which contain 1,559,139 tons grading 0.056 ounces per ton or 84,700 proven/probable ounces of gold. The area to be drilled is expected to prove up an additional 30,000 to 50,000 ounces gold at similar grades. The ore will be mineable by open pit methods and will be processed at BMR's Oliver Hills leaching facility. Road construction and drill pads have been completed and drill holes located for the first phase of the program which includes 18 holes to be completed in December. Drilling will be accomplished with BMR's recently acquired Canterra reverse circulation drill. The Comstock project (owned 100 percent by BMR) which had profitable production in 1993 is capable of production at a rate of approximately 20,000 ounces per year.
