BMH Associates, Inc., Norfolk, Va., is being awarded an estimated $17,951,291 cost-plus-fixed fee contract to conduct the research project entitled "Research and Development Associated with Providing Enhancements to the Application of Distributed Simulations Technologies for Tactical Training and Experimentation." The research will leverage a high-level architecture-based distributed simulation environment that has been established and is routinely used by the Navy Warfare Development Command and the U.S. Joint Forces Command Joint Experimentation Directorate for testing and experimentation. This environment is also the basis for the new Navy Distributed Mission Training Program. Work will be performed in Suffolk, Va., and is to be completed in December 2007. Contract funds in the amount of $98,307 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured under an open Broad Agency Announcement. The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, Fla., is the contracting activity (N61339-03-C-0013).
