Worldwide Computer Products News-20 June 2006-BMC Software releases AppSight 6.0 problem resolution solution(C)1995-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

BMC AppSight 6.0, a problem resolution solution optimised for production application challenges in Microsoft development environments, has been released by BMC Software (NYSE:BMC), a provider of enterprise management solutions.

According to BMC Software, AppSight 6.0 automates and accelerates application problem resolution tasks, considered one of the most costly and time-consuming application lifecycle management processes. Identify Software Ltd, AppSight's creator, was acquired by BMC Software last month.

The solution uses Black Box software to record application execution and capture a real-time synchronised log of user actions, performance metrics, system events, configuration data and code execution flow. It automates manual information gathering, removes problem recreation and is claimed to accelerate the root-cause analysis process by up to 80%.

AppSight 6.0 offers a rules mechanism enabling users to pre-define performance and functional application problems, and root-cause analysis capabilities with pre-defined analysis perspectives. It supports the most recent releases of Microsoft development technologies such as the '.NET' Framework 2.0 and SQL Server 2005 and is integrated with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team System.
