Total revenues in fiscal 2000 were $1,719.2 million, a 32 percent increase from total revenues of $1,303.9 million in fiscal 1999. Fiscal 2000 net earnings and diluted earnings per share, excluding amortization of intangibles and special charges and benefits, were $444.6 million and $1.76, respectively. This represented growth of 13 percent and 11 percent, respectively, compared to earnings and diluted earnings per share in fiscal 1999 of $392.4 million and $1.58, excluding amortization of intangibles and special charges and benefits. Net earnings and diluted earnings per share reflecting these charges and benefits were $242.5 million and $.96 for fiscal 2000, as compared to $362.6 million and $1.46 in fiscal 1999.
