BMA November Event: 'The Power of Emotional Branding: A Short Course in Brain Surgery'.


IRVINE, Calif. -- New developments in neurosciences and psychology have shed light on what causes one brand to succeed and another to fail. It turns out branding is more about "brain surgery" than about using conventional research methods to guess what customers will do. Join the Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  chapter of the Business Marketing Association (SoCal BMA BMA British Medical Association. ) on Nov. 11 as Daryl Travis presents: "Emotional Branding: A Short Course in Brain Surgery" to area marketing professionals.

Travis will explain why brands are successful when they reach a customer at his or her most critical touch point--emotion. He will present a unique methodology, called Emotional Research, that helps determine how human emotions affect buying decisions and image perception as the basis for creating an effective brand strategy to gain a sustainable competitive advantage.

Daryl Travis, the author of "Emotional Branding: How Successful Brands Gain the Irrational Edge," has been a branding consultant with over 20 years experience in building and revitalizing brands for Fortune 500 corporations, non-profit associations and academic institutions.
