"It was great to score my first goals for Linfield, but my main aim is to break into the team and establish myself at the club," he said.

"I've been abroad for a few years in Canada, Sweden and the Czech Republic, so not too many people know too much about me.

"I probably have a lot to prove locally, but every club I've been at I've had to prove myself.

"I've settled in very quickly at Linfield - I live 10 minutes from Windsor Park - and the lads have been very good. I'm enjoying it."

Munster aims to make the most of his chance at Linfield after spending the past five years abroad - most notably with Slavia Prague and Hradec Kralove Hra·dec Krá·lo·vé

He also spent time playing American league football with a club in Canada.

"It's good to be back playing football in the UK," he said. "I enjoyed my time abroad, but I'm looking forward to this new challenge.

"Linfield are the biggest club in Ireland and it's up to me now to show the manager and fans what I can do. I want to do well, score more goals and help the team do well.

"I know I won't walk into a team like Linfield overnight, so I've got to keep my head down and work hard.

"There's a lot of competition at the club and I know I still have something to prove."

On Saturday's victory at Bangor, Munster added: "It was a very good result and we needed it after the Glentoran defeat in the Setanta Cup.

"The most important thing was to pick up three points away from home and that's what we did."
