BLYTH SPARTANS could swoop for some of Durham City's transfer-listed players after Mick Tait Michael 'Mick' Tait has player for a number of clubs in England and one in Scotland these include: Oxford, Carlisle, Hull City, Portsmouth, Reading, Darlington, Hartlepool (twice) and Gretna. He has also managed two of these clubs and they are: Darlington and Hartlepool.  revealed he will cast his eye over those made available following the news that the Esh Stadium club have lost their main sponsor. City have been forced to release their entire squad after Trevor Cartner's withdrawal of support left them unable to fund the playing staff. And while he prepares his side to take on Blue Square North leaders Corby Town at Croft Park Croft Park is a football stadium in Blyth, Northumberland. It is home to Blyth Spartans A.F.C., who play in the Blue Square Conference North. It was opened by Mrs Clarke of Bellister Castle, Haltwhistle on the 1 September 1909.  today, Tait admitted he will consider signing Durham players provided they are better than those he already has.

"It's sad news for Durham but we'll have a look at what's available and see if there's anyone who can improve us," said Tait, who should have Chris McCabe (hamstring) and Robbie Dale Robbie Dale 'The Admiral' was born in Littleborough, U.K. on 21st April 1940. Dale was a key figure in the British rock music radio revolution of the 1960's

Looking forward to this afternoon's game against Corby, who have former Hartlepool midfielder Gavin Strachan Gavin David Strachan (born December 23 1978 in Aberdeen, Scotland) is a Scottish footballer, who plays in midfield for Peterborough United.

Strachan began his football career at Leeds United moving with his father to Coventry City in 1995.
and ex-Nottingham Forest striker Jason Lee among their ranks, Tait added: "We've got some very hard games coming up, our next couple of opponents are in the top three in the table. "Nothing's ever easy in this division, but from what I've seen so far anyone can beat anyone.

"We didn't play too badly against FarsleyS (on Tuesday night), it could have gone either way. To be honest, we've played very well in all our games so far. We've conceded a couple of poor goals, which has cost us.

"We've had loads of the ball and possibly not been creative enough in the last third of the pitch. That's something we're working on, and I'm quite confident that we'll get it right.

"We'd have liked more points on the board by now but we're only four games in. You get what you get and there's no point thinking about what might have been. It hasn't quite happened for us but we'll carry on the way we're playing. The lads have been a little bit frustrated but they are still upbeat because they've played better than the results suggest.

"It won't be easy against Corby. They're top and have a lot of experience in their squad, with a lot of ex-pros. We've gone a different way, with mostly youngsters, so it could take time for us to gel. People just have to be patient."
