BLUE CROSS AND BLUE SHIELD OF MINNESOTA PROMOTES FIVE SENIOR EXECUTIVES

 ST. PAUL, Minn., April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota (BCBSM) recently promoted five senior executives.
 The promotions go to William Jenison of Apple Valley, Minn.; Anne Bluhm of Lakeville, Minn; Susan Flygare of Minneapolis; Grayce Peters of Woodbury, Minn.; and Carole Davidson of Apple Valley.
 Jenison was promoted from senior vice president and chief operations officer to group vice president and chief operations officer. Jenison oversees all claims processing, customer service, provider service, membership and billing functions, information services, and individual, midsized- and small-group marketing for BCBSM. He is also responsible for future diversification activities. During his 20-year tenure with BCBSM, Jenison has held a number of managerial positions in the claims division. He resides in Apple Valley with his wife, Darlene, and their two children Chad and Troy.
 Bluhm was promoted from vice president to senior vice president, underwriting and special accounts marketing. She is responsible for all underwriting and rating functions as well as special accounts marketing for BCBSM. During her 12-year tenure with BCBSM, she has held a number of positions in the company's actuarial and underwriting areas. She lives with her husband, William, and her two children, Scott and Ryan, in Lakeville.
 Flygare was promoted from assistant vice president, special accounts marketing, to vice president, national and major accounts marketing and strategic market planning. During her 19-year tenure, she has held a number of positions including director, special accounts and account management; director, corporate communications and research and information; and manager, provider contract administration and provider file and audit. She resides in Minneapolis with her husband, Tony, and their two children, Tovah and Owen.
 Peters was promoted from vice president to senior vice president, marketing administration. She is responsible for individual, midsized- group, and


small-group marketing activities for BCBSM. Peters also serves as president of CC Systems and in this role is responsible for all functions of the third-party claims administrator -- a for-profit affiliate of BCBSM. During her 32-year tenure with BCBSM, Peters has held a number of management positions, including director of renewals and retentions and senior manager of underwriting and group rating. She resides in Woodbury with her husband, Bruce.
 Davidson was promoted from assistant vice president to vice president, claims, customer service, and membership. She oversees all claims, customer service and membership functions for BCBSM. She is also responsible for the implementation of new products and processes compatible with the MinnesotaCare legislation. During her 15-year tenure with BCBSM, Davidson has held a number of management positions in the claims and customer service areas. She resides in Apple Valley with her husband, Doug.
 In another management change, Jeannine Churchill who was vice president, marketing services, is now responsible for developing BCBSM's workers' compensation business. During her 25-year tenure with BCBSM, Churchill has been involved in a wide array of corporate activities, including the management of managed care programs, data processing functions, claims and membership functions, agency contracting and administration, telemarketing, and small-group, individual, and association product administration. She resides in Apple Valley.
 BCBSM is the state's oldest and largest health coverage carrier. In 1992, more than 1.2 million members were covered by BCBSM health plans or plans administered by the company.
