BLUE CROSS, HCA REACH AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES.

Beginning Monday, Blue Cross subscribers can again receive treatment at West Hills Medical Center and Los Robles Robles is a common surname in the Spanish language meaning oaks, and may refer to:
  • Alfonso García Robles (1911-1991), Mexican diplomat and politician
  • Aurora Robles (born 1980), Mexican fashion model
  • Charlie Robles (born 1943), Puerto Rican musician
 Regional Medical Center after the parties reached accord on a new two-year contract.

``We will not disclose the terms of the agreement,'' HCA spokeswoman Leslie Kelsay said Wednesday. ``There is still quite a bit of fine-tuning to be worked out between now and the effective date.

``Clearly we would not have accepted the agreement in principle if it did not closely meet our requirements.''

Blue Cross spokesman Michael Chee did not return calls seeking comment.

Ken Ferber, a spokesman for WellPoint, the parent company of Blue Cross, declined to comment on the agreement.

 in contract talks that began in May over the length of the contract and the reimbursement rates. Talks resumed Tuesday morning and concluded after 9 p.m.

``The issue is, both parties have come to the table to restore access to these facilities for Blue Cross subscribers,'' Kelsay said.

Some 300,000 patients at Los Robles in Thousand Oaks Thousand Oaks, residential city (1990 pop. 104,352), Ventura co., S Calif., in a farm area; inc. 1964. Avocados, citrus, vegetables, strawberries, and nursery products are grown. , West Hills and Riverside Community Hospital carry Blue Cross coverage.

``I think there have been some individual patients who have had to go to other facilities,'' Kelsay said. ``There has been some disruption for some individual patients who had to schedule procedures at other facilities.''

Kelsay said last week's figures showed a 50 percent ``decline in volume'' of Blue Cross patients at the three hospitals.
