``There was no disruption disruption /dis·rup·tion/ (dis-rup´shun) a morphologic defect resulting from the extrinsic breakdown of, or interference with, a developmental process.  in the contractual agreement,'' Abraham said.

The contract contains a general increase in rates to cover increases in expenses, but because the rate changes are different for individual services, Abraham said he was unable to cite one specific figure as the amount of increase.

The benefits package available for Blue Cross subscribers remains the same under the new contract, Abraham said.

About 10 percent of Antelope Valley Hospital's patients last year were Blue Cross subscribers.

Back in 1999, before the previous contract was signed, the hospital's agreement to treat Blue Cross patients under special rates had lapsed LEGACY, LAPSED.
