Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country, - Blue Barrel Disposal kicked off an aluminum can recycling drive this week at local schools. The Total Trash Out program is a collection contest to help raise money for participating schools, teach children about the importance of recycling and promote keeping the environment clean. All revenue raised through the contest will be given by Blue Barrel directly back to each participating school. The goal is to collect 16,000 pounds of aluminum - worth about $16,000. As part of the program Cycler, the Recycling Robot, is visiting schools to talk about recycling. The Castaic, Newhall, Saugus and Sulphur Springs school districts are taking part, along with Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School (OLPH) is a Roman Catholic elementary and middle school located in the Love Field neighborhood of Dallas, Texas (USA). It has been nicknamed "Our Little Prison House" by the students of Obadiah Knight Elementary School which lies directly . Cans will be collected at schools through March 12.
