Lakers reserve forward Corie Blount Corie Kasoun Blount (born January 4, 1969 in Monrovia, California) is an American former professional basketball player.

A 6'9" power forward/center, Blount starred at the University of Cincinnati during the early 1990s, where he helped his team reach the Final Four in 1992
 is fighting to reclaim $19,000 that the State Highway Patrol seized during a traffic stop.

Blount, 30, was pulled over near Wilmington, Ohio, on Dec. 24 for a minor traffic violation and cited for not having a license plate, said Lt. John Born, a patrol spokesman.
