BLOODY BATTLES OF SCHOOLKIDS ON NET; Shocking scenes show organised brutality online.Byline: BY DAVID David, in the Bible David, d. c.970 B.C., king of ancient Israel (c.1010–970 B.C.), successor of Saul. The Book of First Samuel introduces him as the youngest of eight sons who is anointed king by Samuel to replace Saul, who had been deemed a failure. LOOBY THIS is the shocking teen craze where vicious fist-fights are being organised by Irish school children. The bloody battles were filmed on mobile phones and posted on internet site YouTube to publicise the yob culture invading our schools. The teens can be seen punching and head butting each other and even kicking their opponents while they lie helpless on the ground. And in each contest crowds of youths goad on the fighters to greater levels of brutality. The latest video comes from Wexford and has caused outrage in the town. One of the fights took place in Skeffington Street, in the middle of town in broad daylight, while in another a horrified hor·ri·fy tr.v. hor·ri·fied, hor·ri·fy·ing, hor·ri·fies 1. In one scene a youth is pinned to the ground and headbutted repeatedly until blood spurts from his nose, while a crowd of 40 jeer on his attacker. The action is shown on YouTube with The Prodigy's high-octane song Voodoo People as a soundtrack. Local Labour councillor George Lawlor said the video is horrendous. He added: "This sends out the absolute wrong message about Wexford. What is most disconcerting dis·con·cert tr.v. dis·con·cert·ed, dis·con·cert·ing, dis·con·certs 1. Cllr Lawlor is appealing to the person responsible for shooting the footage to take if off of the site immediately. He said: "It is vicious bare-knuckle fighting. Obviously these fights appear to be arranged, judging by the number of people who attend them. People should really cop on to themselves and behave in a civilised manner. "This is completely irresponsible. Those involved are a bad influence to young Wexford lads. It's animalistic stuff."
