BLIMPIE International reports first quarter results.


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 7, 1995--BLIMPIE International Inc. (Nasdaq/NM:BMPE BMPE Black Market Peso Exchange ) today announced revenues and net income for its first fiscal quarter ended Sept. 30, 1995.

The company's revenues rose 34% to $7,991,547 and net income increased 36% to $784,463 as compared with the quarter ended Sept. 30, 1994. Earnings per share rose to 9 cents per share Cents per share

The amount of a mutual fund's dividend or capital gains distributions that a shareholder will receive for each share owned.
 as compared to 7 cents per share for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 1994.

The rise in earnings is a direct result of increases in continuing fees due to the growth in the company's restaurant base.

BLIMPIE Blimpie is a fast-food submarine sandwich chain headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, and is the third largest sandwich chain in the United States, behind Subway and Quiznos. The company is owned by Kahala•Cold Stone Corp.  International Inc. recently opened its first outlet outside of U.S. borders. On August 22, the first BLIMPIE sandwich was served in Stockholm Stockholm (stŏk`hôlm'), city (1995 pop. 692,954), capital of Sweden and of Stockholm co., E Sweden, situated where Lake Mälaren flows into the Baltic Sea. , Sweden Sweden, Swed. BLIMPIE International Inc. is the world's second largest submarine submarine, naval craft capable of operating for an extended period of time underwater.
