BLAZE RIPS THROUGH WAREHOUSE.


FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a blaze at a Liverpool tyre warehouse.

A blaze broke out at Tyre Express, in Charnock Road, Walton, at about 12.20am today.

Firefighters from Croxteth, Aintree and Queens Drive were called out.

The road was swiftly closed off by police at its junction with Stopgate Lane as high pressure jets were trained on the flames from the ground and an aerial platform An aerial platform may refer either to a:
  • Aerial work platform, an engineering vehicle providing a raised work space
  • Platform truck, a special type of firefighting ladder truck

Crews were still on site this morning damping down the smouldering warehouse remains.
