Robert Bowlby "Rob" Blake (born December 10 1969, in Simcoe, Ontario) is a professional ice hockey defenceman in the NHL, playing for the Los Angeles Kings where he is the captain.
 scored two goals and Luc Robitaille had a goal and two assists as the Kings beat the San Jose Sharks The San Jose Sharks are a professional ice hockey team based in San Jose, California, United States. They are members of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL).  4-2 Wednesday night.

The Sharks got both their goals from Jeff Friesen, who broke a franchise-record with his 163rd career point for San Jose.

The Kings, playing their final game before the All-Star break, are a league-best 15-1-1 when they score the first goal of the game. They got that initial goal against the Sharks with just 1:53 to go in the first period when Blake took a pass from Robitaille and beat goalie Mike Vernon.

The Sharks tied it less than five minutes into the second period on Friesen's breakaway slap shot, which sailed past the outstretched out·stretch
