TEN-MAN Blackburn kept their Euro hopes alive thanks to Roque roque: see croquet.  Santa Cruz's double.

They took the lead in 11 minutes when Chris Kirkland Christopher Edmund "Chris" Kirkland (born 2 May 1981 in Barwell, Leicestershire) is an English football goalkeeper. He currently plays for Wigan Athletic. Biography  failed to hold David Bentley's shot to allow Santa Cruz to head home.

But Rovers were soon down to 10 men when Christopher Samba fouled Emile Heskey inside the box.

Marlon King levelled from the spot.

Jason Roberts restored Blackburn's lead on half-time before Santa Cruz headed in Bentley's cross in 56 minutes.

Wigan's Wilson Palacios was later sent off for a foul on David Dunn with 20 minutes left.
