BLACK HISTORY CELEBRATION : PLAY PRODUCTION HONORS HERITAGE.Byline: Tracy Valeri Daily News Staff Writer Calvary Baptist Church of Pacoima will celebrate Black History Month at 7 p.m. Sunday with a biblical dramatization dram·a·ti·za·tion n. 1. The act or art of dramatizing: the dramatization of a novel. 2. A work adapted for dramatic presentation: featuring former Mrs. California Dwan Smith. Smith, an actress, writer and producer, has starred in such television programs and films as ``Joe Forrester'' with Lloyd Bridges, ``Sparkle'' with Phillip Michael-Thomas and ``General Hospital'' as Dr. Irma Foster. Smith has recently appeared on the ``Leeza'' show and is working on her own talk show. Actor M. Darnell Suttles, who has appeared in television shows and films such as ``Chicago Hope,'' ``Space Jam,'' ``Congo'' and ``Roseanne'' will accompany the cast. Other performers include concert bassist Clarence Robinson as well as Charlotte Crossley-Fortier, one of the original backup vocalists for Bette Midler Bette Midler (born December 1 1945) is an American singer, actress and comedienne, also known to her fans as The Divine Miss M. She is named after the actress Bette Davis although Davis pronounced her first name in two syllables, and Midler uses one. and a member of the original Broadway cast of ``Jesus Christ Jesus Christ: see Jesus.
