BKC Announces First Space Level Qualified Devices.

LAWRENCE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 10, 1997--BKC Semiconductors announced today that they have received their initial JAN S (Space) level QPL's (Qualified Parts List) for the JAN S 1N5802/4/6 family of rectifiers from DSCC. This event is part of a continuing series of qualifications (QPL's) that BKC is actively pursuing following the official DSCC (Defense Supply Center, Columbus) certification of their Lawrence, MA facility earlier this year.

BKC's JAN S Business Unit Manager, Larry Kady indicated that "we are in the final qualification stages of JAN S QPL's on several families of products that BKC manufactures, both in axial and surface mount configurations. This process is a strategic element of our program to play a major role in the supply of space capable devices to be used in critical applications such as satellites."
