IMALL POSTS QUARTERLY LOSS: Despite a nearly 10 percent jump in revenues, Studio City-based Internet commerce company iMALL Inc. posted a $499,475 net loss in the second quarter ended June 30, compared with a $483,987 profit in the comparable year-ago period, officials said. Revenues for the period were $5.1 million compared with $4.7 million last year, according to company officials. The earnings drop was blamed on a $1.5 million rise in advertising expenses and on costs associated with two acquisitions from early 1996, which affected the balance sheet for the first half of this year, officials said.
