 TITLES: Burbank-based Warner Bros. will release its first digital versatile disc digital versatile disc or digital video disc (DVD), a small plastic disc used for the storage of digital data. The successor media to the compact disc (CD), a DVD can have as much as 26 times the storage capacity of a CD. , or DVD, titles in Europe in the first quarter and expects to offer more than 100 titles in Europe by the end of the year. Suggested pricing will be $25 in local currencies. The studio has been a major backer of DVD, which first appeared in March and offers theater-quality images, high-quality sound, multiple-screen formats and multiple-language tracks.

TURBODYNE TO CONSOLIDATE OFFICES: Turbodyne Technologies Inc. will consolidate its international operations Internal Operations (I.O., IO or I/O) is a fictional American Intelligence Agency in Wildstorm comics. It was originally called International Operations. I.O. first appeared in WildC.A.T.S. volume 1 #1 (August, 1992) and was created by Brandon Choi and Jim Lee.  this weekend into a new corporate office in Woodland Hills. Initially seven people will work at the Warner Center office at 21700 Oxnard St. The new office will be about half way between manufacturing facilities in Carpinteria and La Mirada La Mirada (lä mĭrä`də), city (1990 pop. 40,452), Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1960. JANEX JANEX Joint Air Naval Exercise  APPOINTS BOARD MEMBERS: Janex International Inc., a Woodland Hills maker of children's products that recently moved to New Jersey, has appointed two members to the board of directors - Alex Hughes and Dan Lesnick. Hughes was the owner of Janex Toys from 1966 to 1987 and a consultant to Janex Corp., a division of MJL MJL Much Juggalo Love  Marketing Co. from 1987 to 1993. MJL later was acquired by With Design In Mind, a children's products maker in Woodland Hills, and the corporate name was changed to Janex International. Lesnick, a former co-owner of MJL, currently is the executive vice president with Janex International.

BOZELL TO CONTINUE GREAT WESTERN AD CAMPAIGN: Washington Mutual Inc. has decided that a Costa Mesa advertising company will continue developing ad campaigns for its Great Western Financial Corp. subsidiary. Great Western had hired the agency, Bozell, before its acquisition by Seattle-based Washington Mutual. Bozell will now work on a fall campaign.

DCC (1) (Direct Cable Connection) A Windows 95/98 feature that allows PCs to be cabled together for data transfer. DCC actually sets up a network connection between the two machines.  REPORTS LOSS: Chatsworth-based DCC has reported a loss of $140,706 for the first six months of this year, compared with a profit of $104,063 for the same period of 1996. Sales edged down to $2.38 million from $2.4 million. The company, which produces gold compact discs, said the loss was due to the focus and expenses of establishing the Caption Camera brand name and production facilities.
