ACT Networks shares closed down 2 11/16 at 11 11/16 on trading of 4.4 million, more than 10 times the three-month daily average of 329,900.

 REPORTS NET RECORD INCOME: IHOP Corp., the Glendale-based restaurant chain, reported a net income of $5 million (52 cents a share) on sales of $51.6 million for the second quarter ended June 30. A year ago, net income was $4.4 million (46 cents) on revenues of $44.5 million. In the first half of the year, IHOP opened 21 new restaurants out of 70 planned for 1997.

Aramark Uniform is the nation's largest uniform company. Rogala previously has served as a senior vice president at Federal Express and general manager of the Pacific Northwest area for Trans World Airlines Trans World Airlines, commonly known as TWA, was a major American airline company that was acquired by American Airlines in April 2001. For many years it was headquartered at the Kansas City Downtown Airport, as well as midtown Manhattan in New York City. .
