Health care veteran Tim McGlew has been named chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce made its annual donation of $17,500 to area public schools earlier this month. Seven schools each received $2,500, including Chandler Elementary, Dixie Canyon Elementary, Kester Avenue Elementary, Sherman Oaks Elementary, Riverside Drive Elementary, Millikan Middle School and Van Nuys Middle School.

Michael J. Carson has joined real-estate service provider Grubb and Ellis Company as its new senior vice president with the firm's project management services group and will oversee project management for the firm's Sherman Oaks and Santa Clarita offices.

Bear Enthusiast Marketing Group, a marketing communications agency based in Westlake Village, has recently hired Kristin Baker as its new public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  junior account executive. In her new role, Baker will help create, coordinate and execute public-relations initiatives for all of Bear's clients.
