In a move company officials say will enable greater efficiencies and printing capabilities, Impress Communications, Inc. has leased a 30,700 square foot industrial building in Chatsworth for its new headquarters. Impress plans to relocate from Canoga Park and occupy the new facility at 9320 Lurline Ave. on Jan. 1.

Gaye Hirsch and Joanna Klein have joined the Burbank-based CW TV network as vice president of current programming and vice president of drama development, respectively. Hirsch was previously the senior executive at Cruise/Wagner Productions. Klein was previously the vice president of development and current programming at Regency Television.

Realtor, author and Simi Valley resident Stephen Christie has joined Coldell Banker Previews International in Westlake Village.

Rita Bishop has opened Life Balance Hypnotherapy, a hypnotherapy businesses in Tarzana and Woodland Hills. Bishop is a certified hypnotherapist and is a member of the Hypnotherapists Union and the American Hypnotist Association.

Gloria Pollack will receive the 2006 Women of Achievement Award from the Greater San Fernando Valley Business and Professional Women's Organization Nov. 18. at the Women's Club of Hollywood. Pollack has been a member of BPW for more than 30 years and was chosen for the award for her support to numerous Valley-based groups.

Farmers Insurance Group has opened a 120,000-foot claims, agents, leadership and management training facility Agoura Hills. The center will offer training to more than 15,000 agents, 18,000 nationwide employees and 500 district managers. It's at 30801 Agoura Hills Road.

Pratt and Whitney Rocketdyne of Canoga Park has earned a ``Star'' rating from California health and safety officials, naming it one of the state's top safety-driven businesses.

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Anthony S. ``Buddy'' Piszel has resigned his position with Woodland Hills-based Health Net Inc. to take the same position with the Virginia-based mortgage company Freddie Mac. The company has appointed James Woys, president of government and specialty services, as acting CFO while they seek a successor.
