Power and Associates founder J.D. ``Dave'' Power III has been named 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year by the USC An abbreviation for U.S. Code.  Marshall School of Business' Lloyd Grief Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. Power founded the company, known for its customer satisfaction surveys, in 1968.

1st Century Bank N.A.'s board of directors has appointed Randall T. Hata, currently senior vice president and controller, the acting chief financial officer. Thomas A. Hill has joined City National Bank as a vice president with the export finance group in the international banking services division.
