BISYS Corp. has brought out a pair of Web-based products to facilitate insurance licensing and administration. The Little Falls, N.J.-based information services and investment administration firm released the software through its BISYS Licensing Solutions unit.

The first product, appointpak.com, streamlines the process needed to obtain state-specific insurance appointments and terminations. Individual states enforce unique appointment and termination processes, the company says, which creates a difficult and expensive administration burden for insurance companies. BISYS can take the data from the insurer through direct data entry or through the import of electronic data. It completes all state-specific forms and checks and submits the package to the appropriate state insurance department.

The second product, producerlicensing.com, enables insurance producers to obtain resident and nonresident licenses for life, health, variable life and property/casualty insurance products. State-specific data is entered online, organized automatically and audited for missing information. Most completed license applications are then e-mailed to applicants with an instruction sheet and requisite mailing addresses.
