BISHOP ELECTED TO DRAVO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 PITTSBURGH, Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Dravo Corporation (NYSE: DRV) today announced the election of E. Eugene Bishop, 62, to its board of directors.
 Elected at the board's regular year-end meeting, Bishop brings to 10 the number of directors currently serving on Dravo's board.
 Bishop serves as chairman of the board of Morrison Incorporated, a billion-dollar food service company founded in 1920 and headquartered in Mobile, Ala. Bishop has spent his entire career in the Morrison organization, holding positions as district manager, vice president, and senior vice president prior to becoming a director of the company in 1963. In 1975, he became executive vice president, chief executive officer in 1980, and chairman in 1986.
 A director of SouthTrust Bank of Mobile and Delchamps Incorporated, Bishop is a long-time civic leader in the Mobile community, and is active in a number of national management and hospitality industry trade organizations.
 "Mr. Bishop will bring to our deliberations an extraordinarily broad range of professional and personal experience and interests," said William G. Roth, chairman of Dravo's board of directors.

 Maintaining corporate offices in Pittsburgh, and Mobile, Dravo is a major U.S. producer of lime, crushed limestone, and other construction aggregates and natural resource materials.
