BIOTRONIK Celebrates Market Release of the ERA 300 Dual-Chamber Pacing System Analyzer.

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 17, 1997--BIOTRONIK, Inc., celebrates the market release of the ERA 300 Dual-Chamber Pacing System Analyzer (PSA) following clearance by U.S Food and Drug Administration. Used to evaluate pacing and ICD lead systems during implant, this premium pacing system analyzer has previously been available only outside the United States. Today's announcement clears the way for this state-of-the-art device to be available worldwide.

The ERA 300 Dual-Chamber Pacing System Analyzer is a lightweight, full-featured instrument that delivers options and functions currently unavailable in other pacing system analyzers. The ERA 300 offers the benefits of real-time, simultaneous, atrial and ventricular intracardiac electrograms (IEGMs) displayed on a high- resolution LCD screen for conducting high-precision threshold tests, intrinsic sensing evaluations and advanced IEGM analyses.

Test results, measured data, and parameter settings are automatically stored in the ERA 300's extensive memory and automatically formatted into printed final reports. The built-in, high speed printer also provides permanent documentation of real- time IEGMs during all testing protocols.

Additional key features include: high-rate stimulation (up to 1000 ppm) delivered either as a programmable burst-set or as continuous pacing; back-up pacing during intrinsic sensing evaluations; PP and PQ interval measurements; and an user-defined program which is customizable to individual preferences in testing protocols.
