BIOMIRA RIGHTS OFFERING RAISES $26.6 MILLION.


EDMONTON Edmonton (ĕd`məntən), city (1991 pop. 616,741), provincial capital, central Alta., Canada, on the North Saskatchewan River. The center of the largest metropolitan area in Alberta, Edmonton, known as the "Gateway to the North," is located , ALBERTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 7, 1995--Biomiria Inc. today announced that its offering by prospectus dated May 1, 1995 of rights to subscribe for Units (each consisting of one Common Share and one Warrant to purchase a Common Share) resulted in the Company receiving subscriptions for 7,392,514 Units and gross proceeds of C$26,613,050.40.

Included in the foregoing numbers and pursuant to the previously announced Rights Offering Agreement between Almiria Capital Corp. ("Almiria") and Biomira, 5,000,000 Units are to be acquired by Almiria for C$18,000,000. Upon the closing of the Rights Offering, Almiria will hold approximately 16.7% of the Company's issued and outstanding Common Shares.
