BIO Adds Democratic Political Insider Matthew Schumaker to Its Advocacy Staff.

 (BIO), is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Schumaker to the position of Managing Director, Federal Government Relations.

Schumaker most recently served at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (commonly referred to as the "D triple C," or the "D-Trip") is the Democratic Hill committee for the United States House of Representatives, working to elect Democrats to that body. , where he guided the Committee's independent expenditures in more than twenty competitive House races.

, Schumaker served as the first ever Executive Director of the New Democrat Coalition The New Democrat Coalition is an organization within the United States Congress. Schumaker also previously served as Communications Director and Legislative Assistant for Representative Darlene Hooley Darlene Kay Olson Hooley (born April 4 1939) is a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Oregon who represents the state's 5th congressional district. A native of North Dakota, she spent eight years teaching high school before entering politics when she was  (D, OR).
