BINDLEY WESTERN ANNOUNCES THREE NEW PRIMARY SUPPLIER AGREEMENTS

 INDIANAPOLIS, Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- It was announced today by Keith W. Burks, president of Bindley Western Drug Company, that supplier agreements have been reached with three new customers. Revenues from the new agreements should exceed $75 million in 1993.
 The company has signed a three-year primary supplier agreement with Homecare Management, Inc. of Ronkonkoma, N.Y. Homecare Management is a leading provider of pharmaceutical and support services to organ transplant recipients nationwide with regional facilities located in New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, California and Washington, D.C. The three- year supply agreement is expected to exceed $100 million in revenue.
 Additionally, the company has been named the primary supplier of Rx Express Pharmacy based in Cincinnati. Bindley Western will provide computer systems support as well as pharmaceutical products to Rx Express.
 Prescription Drug Service, Inc. has also selected Bindley Western as its primary supplier. Based in Hauppauge, N.Y., prescription Drug Service operates facilities on Long Island and in Chandler, Ariz.
 Each of the above new customers represents Bindley Western's commitment to expanding the non-warehouse segment of its business. Indianapolis-based Bindley-Western (NASDAQ: BIND), with 1992 revenues expected to reach $2.9 billion, is one of the largest drug wholesalers in the United States specializing in the distribution of ethical pharmaceuticals and related products. The firm serves customers in 36 states through distribution centers in Austell, Ga.; Brockton, Mass.; Charlotte, N.C.; Dallas; Houston; Indianapolis; Middletown, Pa.; Orlando, Fla.; Phoenix, Ariz.; Portland, Maine; San Dimas, Calif., and Stamford, Conn.
