BIN YOUR BUGS; 84m bacteria lurk in home rubbish.

KITCHEN bins are home to an average 84million bacteria, a study has revealed.

Britons give the nasty bugs the ideal breeding conditions by failing to empty their bins regularly, experts claim.

Instead, they press the contents down until the bin is full to the brim brim (brim) the upper edge of a basin.

And it's particularly dangerous in summer when food breaks down even faster in the heat to form 'bin juice'.

As well as smelling appalling, the collected juices encourage bacteria to grow.

The survey by waste disposal firm In-Sink-Erator found one-in-10 households empty their kitchen bins just once a week.

Food poisoning food poisoning, acute illness following the eating of foods contaminated by bacteria, bacterial toxins, natural poisons, or harmful chemical substances. It was once customary to classify all such illnesses as "ptomaine poisoning," but it was later discovered that  affects upto half a million Britons a year.

In-Sink-Erator's Ashley Munden said: 'You might not be able to see it but where there's bin juice, there's bacteria and this can be spread around the kitchen very easily, increasing the risk of food poisoning.
