BIKERS JAILED FOR RIOT AT AIRPORT; Pair get six years for 'horrendous' mass brawl between feuding gangs: Families watch gang clash in horror.

Byline: Emma Stone

BIKERS from Coventry and Warwickshire have been jailed for their part in an "horrendous" riot between feuding gangs at Birmingham Airport. Neile Harrison, 46, of Bell Green Road, Bell Green, Coventry, and 50-year-old Mark Price, of Westbury Road, Nuneaton, were both handed six-year prison sentences at Birmingham Crown Court yesterday. They were among eight men from the West Midlands found guilty of rioting, following a six-week trial. Harrison and Price were both members of The Outlaws gang involved in a terrifying armed brawl with Hells Angels inside an airport terminal. One of those convicted - 47-year-old Mark Larner, of Tudor Road in Upper Gornal, West Midlands - failed to appear for the sentencing hearing. The court heard he had fled to South Africa South Africa, Afrikaans Suid-Afrika, officially Republic of South Africa, republic (2005 est. pop. 44,344,000), 471,442 sq mi (1,221,037 sq km), S Africa.  with a "substantial amount of money" and a warrant was immediately issued for his arrest and his sentencing was adjourned. The remaining five bikers were also handed six-year sentences. Terrified ter·ri·fy

familieswatched in horror as members of the two gangs clashed in the airport's arrivals area after travelling back on a flight from Alicante in January last year. Knuckle-dusters, hammers, and a meat cleaver were among the weapons used. Several men were injured and one almost lost his life after suffering a serious head injury. It is believed members of the Outlaws had been visiting the Spanish resort with the aimof establishing a new "chapter". Members of both gangswere met by associates - who provided themwith weapons - as they arrived at the airport.  QC told the seven men that their actions gave him no choice other than to impose lengthy jail terms. The six-week trial heard how dozens of Hells Angels and Outlaws, some armed with knives, were involved in the "battle". Also sentenced were Paul Arlett, 35, of Cradley Road, Dudley, Sean Timmins, 38, of Brewood Road, Coven cov·en

The judge said: "This was an appalling case of public disorder in the presence of and to the terror of probably hundreds of people." The Hells Angels and the Outlaws, the judge said, had a "background of hostility and violence" going back years.

Hemade a specific reference to the seven other members of the Outlaws gang whowere sentenced to life last year after the shooting on theM40 of Hells Angel Gerry Tobin in August 2007. Condemning both groups as "little more than a childhood gang", the judge added: "Members of each group found themselves, entirely by chance, on a flight to Birmingham from Alicante. "There must have been at least 20 or 30 people turning up to meet the plane." He said the eight convicted men "came to fight".
