The 15th-ranked Bruins won just six of 16 events but made depth count in a 154-145 victory over the Cardinal, which led 143-139 going into the final event. The Bruins' rallied with a 1-2 finish in the 200 freestyle relay, led by the winning team of Price, Erica Shugart, Beth Goodwin and LeAnne Cadag. Price's individual wins came in the 50 and 100 freestyles. Noddle doubled in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes. In other women's swimming Friday, USC An abbreviation for U.S. Code. lost to California 154-127 at USC. Paige Francis and freshman Asa Sandlund were double winners for USC, Francis qualifying for NCAA NCAA abbr. National Collegiate Athletic Association with a 2:11.62 in the 200 backstroke. |
