BIG SCREEN SOCCER SUCCESS.

Byline: By GARETH WHEM

A SOCCER Saturday-style football tournament has been hailed a huge success.

Redcar Town held its first junior football tournament on August 30 and 31.

About 100 teams from all over the North-east took part, with approximately 3,500 spectators.

To give the competition a unique feel to any other, organisers gave it a modern twist.

Redcar Town hired the "Middlesbrough Football in the Community" trailer, to use its large screen to broadcast the scores.

The huge screen gave spectators and players the chance to see live league tables and results as they happened, just like watching Soccer Saturday on Sky television. Graham Rose Graham David Rose (born April 12, 1964), in Tottenham, England, was an English domestic cricketer for Somerset between 1987 and 2002. He was a right handed batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler. , Redcar Town Football Club Secretary, said: "It went very well, really successful. Everyone really enjoyed the screen, because it gave a modern feel to the occasion.

A lot of spectators gathered around it."
