``The opening season is nearly complete and audiences will be receiving an announcement shortly on purchasing tickets, season packages and lots more,'' college spokeswoman Sue Bozman said. ``But we still need a theater manager who will handle the day-to-day operations of this fantastic, brand-new facility.''

Candidates should have two years of professional theater management experience, operational knowledge of audio, lighting and house systems, understanding of performer contracting and audience development and strong leaderships skills.

The 950-seat theater is scheduled to begin it inaugural season in October. The college hired in March consultant Rodney Stickrod, technical director at Lancaster Performing Arts Center, to help with initial programming.

``This is really a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate,'' Bozman said. ``Not only will this person assist in the development of college students embarking in careers in the performing arts, but they will also help shape the tone of the Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California.
