VALENCIA - Neighbors of the Ewart family, who lost their home in a December fire, are uniting March 11 to hold a giant fundraising

 garage sale to help the family get back on its feet.

Realtor Deborah Mann, who lives next door to David Ewart David Ewart was a Canadian architect who served as Chief Dominion Architect from 1896 to 1914.

As chief government architect he was responsible for many of the federal buildings constructed in this period.
 and his family, is asking colleagues and residents to help in the event, which will run from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Via Escovar in the Valencia Hills neighborhood.

 to the David Ewart Catastrophe Fund, established after the Dec. 20 fire that gutted the Ewart home and sent three family members to the Grossman Burn Center in Sherman Oaks for treatment of severe burns.

Among the items for sale will be dressers, a love seat and matching chair, a freezer freezer

the compartment in which meat and offal are stored at freezing temperatures of 10 to 16°F (-12 to -9°C) although there is a trend to lower temperatures of 0 to -22°F (-18 to -30°C).
, refrigerator, beds, dining room sets, wall units, a microwave oven, televisions, clothing and toys.
