The big breakfast cereal breakfast cereal, a food made from grain, commonly eaten in the morning. The oldest type of cereal, known as porridge or gruel, requires cooking in water or milk. The modern breakfast cereals, however, are entirely precooked and eaten in cold milk. The first precooked cereal was probably invented in 1863 by James Jackson. maker dodged the bullet in Latin America during the first quarter, largely thanks to its big focus on Mexico--one of its seven largest markets in the world. Watch for more Mexico news as the firm's new worldwide CEO, Carlos Gutierrez, cut his corporate teeth in Mexico on his way up.
