Sponsored by the biotechnology company Amgen, the eight-day race covers between 650-700 miles (1,045 - 1,126 km). , will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Saturday from Magic Mountain Parkway to Valencia Boulevard. Until the bicyclists arrive about 2:20 p.m. in Santa Clarita, state Route 126 will be limited to one westbound lane from Interstate 5 to Ventura as they make their way east. Eastbound east·bound adj. In the industrial center, short-term closures will occur from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the route, which will follow Route 126 to Rye Canyon Road to Avenue Stanford and Avenue Scott. Avenue Tibbets also will be affected as the route crosses it. The city of Santa Clarita has mailed nearly 100,000 postcards to residents to notify them of the closures.
