BI will also provide 24/7 monitoring services The general surveillance of known air traffic movements by reference to a radar scope presentation or other means, for the purpose of passing advisory information concerning conflicting traffic or providing navigational assistance. . These services include monitoring the individuals from BI's national monitoring center and updating offender schedules, alerting law enforcement to violations of schedules, and installing and removing equipment from participants. The new agreement began July 1 and also calls for BI to extend service to rural mountain communities, including Steamboat Springs Steamboat Springs, town (1990 pop. 6,695), Routt co., NW Colo., on the Yampa River, just W of the Park Range; founded 1875, inc. 1907. It is a resort and skiing center, with ranching, farming, and light manufacturing. , Durango and Alamosa. BI has a 15-year working relationship with the Colorado DOC.
