CARDIFF marked the official opening of their new 27,000 stadium by holding a strong Celtic line-up to a goal-less draw.

More than 15,000 fans witnessed the occasion as the Championship club ended their lengthy association with Ninian Park Coordinates:  Ninian Park is a football stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Currently, it is the home ground of Cardiff City F.C. . But more importantly for Celtic, the game marked another step in their preparations for the Champions League qualifier with Dinamo Moscow.

Celtic, urged on by more than 1,000 fans, did most of the early pressing but Cardiff were nearest to breaking the deadlock through Chris Burke's low drive.
