BH&HS adopts long-range plan. (News Notes).


The BH&HS voted on June 21, 2002, to adopt the seven recommendations in the five-year long-range plan presented by its Long-range Planning Committee planning committee n (in local government) → comité m de planificación :

1. To create an advisory committee of financial and public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  consultants to formulate a long-range fund-raising strategy

2. To study a membership fee increase of up to 25 percent and to establish separate institutional rates

3. To enhance relationships with a representative cross-section of Baptists by convening con·vene

To come together usually for an official or public purpose; assemble formally.

v.tr.
1.
 a meeting of Baptist history program leaders to discuss common interests and potential joint efforts; involving these Baptists in annual meetings, marketing resources to them, enlisting them as speakers and writers, seeking their publications, enlisting them as members, and inviting them to join the Fellowship of Baptist Historians; and holding two collaborative conferences/workshops in cooperation with other Baptist entities

4. To bring a proposal to the 2002 meeting for a new booklet series

5. To publish ten volumes per year through the Baptist History Book Publishing book publishing. The term publishing means, in the broadest sense, making something publicly known. Usually it refers to the issuing of printed materials, such as books, magazines, periodicals, and the like.  Program

6. To raise sufficient funds to provide for four full-time employees, twenty publications, $750,000 to endow en·dow
